About Us
The Beacon Practice is an independent Clinical Psychology service providing assessment and therapy for a wide range of emotional, mental health and wellbeing issues for children, adults and families.
Dr Andrea Gallagher-Cowley, Dr Leigh Anne Lynch and Dr Jill Ogston are experienced Clinical Psychologists who are registered by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Clinic appointments are offered online or in person at our East Kilbride base.

Dr Andrea Gallagher-Cowley
Dr Andrea Gallagher-Cowley is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who has over 10 years of clinical practice experience working within the NHS. She is passionate about helping people who are experiencing psychological distress. She supports them to understand their difficulties, and make changes to improve their mental health, wellbeing and relationships. She believes that compassion and kindness are key for a person to heal emotionally and make progress to reach their goals. She provides a non-judgemental space for clients to feel listened to and understood. This includes within her current NHS post working in a Drug and Alcohol Psychology Service; helping people who have experienced trauma and adversity develop an understanding of their experiences, learn to soothe their nervous system, process trauma and make behavioural changes in line with their values.

Dr Leigh-Anne Lynch
Dr Leigh-Anne Lynch is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over eleven years’ experience working in the NHS providing psychological assessment and treatment. She has extensive experience in working with adults, children, adolescents, and people who have a learning disability. She is friendly and approachable and draws on a variety of different therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each individual.

Dr Jill Ogston is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who brings over ten years experience working in the NHS, in addition to her independent work. She provides supportive assessment and understanding of psychological difficulties for children, adults and their families.
